Born in South Africa but raised in England such a great writer who impressed millions of people by his ideas. The movie ‘The Hobbit’ became so famous, how he got the world’s attention just by his idea of this hobbit that at first he did not even know what a hobbit was after he search information with experts. J.R.R. Tolkien start by telling the story of the hobbit to his kids, a creature that he invented and that the world knew.

Tolkien was very intelligent that he even had his own

private language called ‘Naffarin’ it was based on

Spanish and Latin. Also Tolkien fails a scholarship to

Oxford because his father Francis discover that he had a

romance with Edith Mary Bratt, after that Tolkien and his

In 1912 Tolkien becomes a

member of Exeter College essay Club. Continuing his

life with his lover he wrote a letter to Edith in her 21st

birthday and soon after they engaged. Tolkien continue

with his writing, in 1914 he wrote his first identifiable

Middle-earth” fragment ‘The Voyage of Éarendel the

Evening Star’ in the same year he also began to write

the story of kullervo after revises his work he called it

‘The Horns of Ylmir’.

And in 1915 Tolkien gains a first class honor degree, he

obtains a commission in the Lancashire Fusiliers and

trains in Bedford and Staffordshire for the poem ‘You &

Me and the Cottage of the lost Play’, he also writes the

poem ‘A Song of Aryador’ while he was in Staffordshire.

In the same year he wrote a poem ‘Kortirion among the

trees’ and also the poem ‘Goblin feet’ which was

published in Oxford poetry.

In march of 1916 Tolkien and Edith married in Warwick.

Throughout his life, Tolkien wrote love poems to his wife

he writes enthusiastically about her, Tolkien was happily

married for 55 years. Two months later after
