1. Effective communication is important to my success in today’s environment because it builds and maintains relationships, enhances my decision-making and problem solving skills; likewise, decrease misunderstanding. Effective communication contributes to building and maintaining relationships by optimistic encounters with other people. Without effective communication, one would face difficulty to express their thoughts, opinions and ideas to another; therefore, leading themselves into a zone of inability to construct productive relationships. Similarly, it enhances my decision-making and problem solving skills by driving innovation. It helps be gain a better understanding of myself and other around me and influences my learning pattern.

2. Ethics in business communication is generally the understanding that two people may have different perspectives on a situation in the business and may come to a cordial mutual understanding without being ridiculed or discriminated. Ethics also helps employees understand the standards in the business especially, in the communication aspect. Ethics is built upon the importance of respecting and protecting the rights of all human beings. I believe, it goes hand in hand with business communication to reduce discernment and leads people along the path of upholding policies and practicing honest behavior in a business setting. It also provides compensation for past injustices.
