What makes someone a great leader? George Washington possesses many good qualities that demonstrate why he is viewed as a great leader. George Washington was born in Westmoreland County, Virginia on February 22, 1732. Washington was not only a good president, but he was also the commander of the Continental Army, where he gained the trust and support of many American citizens.
