Henry's fight to balance his Mexican heritage with the pressures to fit in with mainstream American culture is a good example of the larger problem that Mexican-American teens in Los Angeles in the 1940s had to deal with. As Henry says in the book, "We ain’t getting any justice in this courtroom. It’s all a set-up! " , In this quote, Henry is upset with the legal system because he believes it is biased against Mexican Americans, and this quote shows his displeasure with it.

The Birmingham branch of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference invited MLK to participate in the direct-action program if needed.

The man who killed Martin Luther King Junior was named James earl Ray. The reason Ray killed Martin Luther King was because he hated him. Every one of the speeches MLK gave he despised. Ray was going through depression at the time; partly from lack of attention because he was the youngest in a poor family. When Martin Luther King started to stand up for colored people, it only made Ray’s depression worsened.
Throughout the short stories, many can see that we are not all that different. We all share many different experiences and two people who are extremely different could share something common, like the sadness of losing a relative. Having a voice matters. One person can change people 's lives regardless of wealth or role. Important decisions are made by poor and wealthy people alike. More often than not people can be smarter and more qualified than t rnment or the people above them like Montag in fahrenheit 451. You could argue that having a voice in society does not matter.
The Man with a Dream Martin Luther King Jr. famously said, “I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” He was one of America’s most influential civil rights leaders to ever exist. He was very passionate about his progression of nonviolent protesting and raised plenty awareness towards the media of racial inequalities eventually working towards a significant change that would change the world forever. Martin Luther King Jr. positively affected the world by becoming the leader of the civil rights movement and bringing racial acceptance to the U.S. through nonviolent protest. King was very inspired by India’s revolutionary civil rights leader, Gandhi.
