The human eye can distinguish about ten million different colors, and our bones ounce for ounce are stronger than steel but these things are not what truly makes us human. There is more to a person than bones and flesh. What makes us human is more than the obvious physical state but rather what's on the inside, where you find personality,compassion, and determination that's what makes you human.

Without a personality/emotions or a soul we would just be a body not a human. A good example of this from the Bible is James two twenty six “As the body without the spirit is dead…” this verse from the bible talks about how a person's body has no meaning with the absence of the soul .Another reference is from the book Jenna Fox by Mary Peirson. Jenna struggles with the debate of whether or not she is considered a human. “Show me! Where? Where in all this groundbreaking technology did you insert my soul?” ( page 129). Jenna questions if she has a soul and whether or not that makes her human.
