The French and Indian war was a war fought between France and Britain. “This New World conflict marked another chapter in the long imperial struggle between Britain and France.” (History.com Staff, 2009) This war lasted for seven years (also called the Seven Years’ War) beginning in 1753 to 1763. This long lasting battle began the changes within these countries to form. Although it is called the French and Indian war, Native Americans played a major role on both sides.
