The US is going to use some source of energy and that will always have some negative effects on the environment. The alternative sources for the energy we need have negative effects on the environment as well. “In 2011 U.S. coal-fired power plants emitted nearly two billion metric tons of greenhouse gases -- roughly eight times the amount produced by mining, refining and burning tar sands”(Biello). Canada is going to develop a pipeline system to export oil whether it’s to the US or other countries, like China, that are trying to get access to this resource.

Before the Industrial Revolution people made different things by hand or simple tools. For example, people wove textiles by hand, and after the Industrial Revolution machines were used instead. The Industrial Revolution began because people wanted higher wages, newer inventions began to arise, and people began to advance their knowledge in agriculture. The inventions helped the factory workers produce goods easier and faster. The agriculture advancement helped increase the amount of crops to support the demand. There were also many helpful agricultural inventions that helped farmers plant crops and harvest them. The higher wages drew people into the factories.
The Industrial Revolution has changed America in many ways, some good and some bad.
