I believe that being an American Is the greatest thing that could happen to a person and here is why. In the story "Veterans Day: Never Forget Their Duty" is about veterans who are P.O.W.s in North Vietnam. They were captured and tortured. But even going through all that they are still able to salute the flag of The United States Of America. A man named Mike Christian, he was the man who sewed an American flag on the inside of his shirt.
In order for America to be good, our people must also be good. You cannot build a great country without a solid foundation. If someone was judging your character they would look at how honest you are, how much integrity you have, and how you treat other people regardless of what they can do for you. When people from other countries look at Americans do we want them to see money hungry bullies who only care about themselves or kind and compassionate people who they might aspire to
They work hard to protect us and their families. It’s hard to get in and survive in the coast guard, army, marines, airforce, and navy. Dan lipinski once said “On the battlefield, the military pledges to leave no soldier behind. As a nation ,let it be our pledge that when they return home,we leave no veteran behind .” If you are reading this and you are in or have been in the military I am very proud of you for dedicating your time and risking your life to defend us.
With the amount of time we all have on this world, it is our job to do the best as we possibly can, so dream big. Be ambitious, be filled with ideas, be a believer because that is what humans are. Who knows what American would be like if the Founding Fathers of the United States did not dream big. Who would have wrote and sung the classic “Jolene” and “Coat of Many Colors” if it was not for the aspiring Dolly Parton?
Having a good understanding of this will brighten your mind on how much they devote their lives to this. When anyone chooses to go into the military, they will spend many months away from their family and loved ones. These vets defend everyone no matter what race, gender, age, or religion and they show that by giving us back the freedom that they fought for. To
American Dream Does the American Still hold the American dream? I believe that it is very possible for a citizen of America to live that tradition American Dream; paying bills without worries, giving their children a start to an even better life then they had and still save enough to live comfortably after they retire to live that happy free life. In reading "Let America Be America Again," it sites in line four of the poem "seeking a home where he himself is free." That represented the people's freedom and with the Declaration of Independence that will protect our freedoms and rights .
I also believe that the soldiers who were not in the front lines were just as brave to be there to support our country. Even those who are peacetime veterans are important and should be honored just the same. Peacetime veterans are home and get to be around their family while knowing that at any time they could be called in to fight. They fought so we don't have to walk around with the fear that at any moment we might lose our life or the lives of the
Us Americans should be helping our troops when they come home. We do not treat our veterans right. They fight for our country, but when they come home they are not treated right. The physical, mental and emotional fatigue that comes with serving in combat is immense and many soldiers see their
POW!! Imagine you just saved your family from a slum trying to take what you worked for Tough right? Well that can all change now. A concealed carry pistol can define, your life and death. Here's why, concealed carry should be for american citizens and why it should be legal for anyone without any restriction and permits, Also why concealed carry helps with crime and protects thousands of americans.
Moreover, our countrymen had a choice to become anything they wanted, but they chose to defend our great country and freedom we so graciously enjoy. Now is not the time to dismiss such bravery not to mention commitment. The people of the United States need to stand by our soldiers
War is very scary and when veterans come back from it they don't always come back the same way they had left. When in war they face many challenges in combat, but most people don't think about what life is like after the war. Often times they enter into the military with the excitement of supporting their country not thinking about where they will be sent or what they will be asked to do. Considering how their lives may look like after the military is not always a consideration.
In the United States, serving in the military is seen as a model of true patriotism, and rightfully so. Service members train for 10 weeks in their transition from civilian to a soldier. They train to be able to endure all the hardships that may come their way. Service members have to be in the best physical shape to serve and because of all that they do, they are thought of as brave and selfless people. Service members make extreme sacrifices to defend our country and act selflessly by doing so; it is fitting that they are seen as heroes by many Americans.
Most people take for granted the price soldiers pay to defend the freedoms of their countries. Everyone is "too busy" worrying about what's going on in their home lives, that they don't think about what's going on in the wars around us. Nobody thinks about how their best friends husband could die tomorrow trying to protect their freedoms. I do believe
In the United States thousands of veterans are not able to leave behind the horrors and traumatic events they experience while at war. They bring the war home and have to re-experience it in their minds each and every day, no matter how much time has passed since their last battle or traumatic
I just want to thank our veterans for everything that they have done. In this essay I am going to write about what I am grateful for, how hard it is to be away from your family, the sacrifices that I think they have made, what they are doing for our country, and some facts. I think this will be a good topic for me because my great grandpa fought in World War 2. I will never forget him. So I hope you like it
