The members of F Society are very charismatic while brining into the table their prodigal hacking talents. Besides Elliot, calling the shots in the group are the hot-tempered Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) and the sassy daredevil Darlene (Carly Chaikin). Both come into Elliot’s life like a storm and annoyingly aid him with missions against Evil Corp. They later play a larger importance for Elliot and arguably one of the catalysts towards his downwards descent into madness. The other members of the group still have traits that complement the other trio. While they have less screen time as the mentioned trio, their involvement in missions are never overbearing. is not the most creative title for the antagonist company, the leading men behind it bluntly matches the name. Overindulging in luxurious homes, wearing brand name accessories, and scandals spreading left and right; the show over exaggerates life behind a company empire. A recurring Evil Corp. member that stands out from his peers is Tyrell (Martin Wallström). Beneath the well-respected businessman lies a desperate man pressured to rise to the top, to the point of using blackmail of sexual affairs with the spouses of executives as a means of promotion. Not the most original depiction of the upper class, the introductions of other employees towards the latter half assumes that Olpev has more in store.
The diversity of the show’s cast was a breath of fresh air. Not only did it introduce multi-ethnic people, it also was very liberal in sexual orientation. We see Tyrell and Gideon openly engaged in homosexual relationships as with Angela and Shayla. Female characters, while initially fitting cut-out stereotypes, later branched off into flawed but influential people. Enough screen time was put into developing each character, allowing the audience to fully witness what each person has to
