Who Is Hercules A Hero

The hero in its modern form is a protagonist character who fulfills a task and restores balance to the community. He/she is a born leader, whether they know it or not. He/she is a real survivor who has faith in good. Others are willing to believe in this hero and will follow him/her. In myth, man of great strength and courage, favored by the gods and in part descended from them, often regarded as a half-god and worshiped after his death is known as hero. A hero is a person who has made a noble, brave, accomplishments, and sacrifice as Hercules, Orpheus and Mary.
A hero is someone who "we" determine to have demonstrated behaviors and decisions that are ethically and emotionally worthy of our awe. We see in them something we think is not in us. …show more content…

Some such as immense in size and strength as Hercules. Hercules the great hero and the son of the great god Zeus, was the most famous of all the Greek mythological heroes. Hercules was known for his strength, bravery, and adventuresome personality. “He was told by the oracle that he must go to Mycenae and for twelve years obey all the commands of the cowardly King Eurystheus, his kinsman. It seemed a hard and cruel sentence, but the oracle told him also, that at the end of many labours he would be received among the gods.”(Leeming, David Adams.) He was sentenced this because he was accused to kill his wife and children. Orpheus is a hero too. His love and bravery for his wife was amazing. He tried to save her wife and to that he took the most dangerous challenge. Accompanying his words with the music of his lyre, he said: “Deities of this lower world, to which all we mortal birth descend, if I have permission to dispense with rambling insincerities and speak the simple truth, I did not come here to see the dim haunts of Tartarus, nor yet to chain Medusa’s monstrous dog, with its three heads and snaky ruff. In the underworld, there were Tantalus, Ixion, the daughter of Danaus and Sisyphus to stop him or anyone else who is not dead, but he still went there. Then he overcome them by singing. “As he sang these words to the music of his lyre, the bloodless ghosts were in treas; Tantalus made no effort to reach the water that ever shrank away, Ixion;s wheel stood still in wonder, the vultures ceased to gnaw Tityus’ liver, the daughters of Dabaus rested their pitchers, and Sisyphus sat idle on his rock.” (Leeming, David Adams.) “Hercules some of the best wine to drink, the other centaurs became jealous. Angry words led to blows, and soon Hercules was forces to defend himself with his club and with his arrows, the poison of which not only caused death, but also the most extreme pain.”(Leeming, David Adams.) Hercules had this anger and he overcomes it by killing the boar. That animal was big and vicious but Hercules himself is the son of Zeus. “I am undone, and my own people have done this things.”(Leeming, David Adams.) Wanjiru cried loud for the last time and said this and then she vanished from sight. She thought she can overcome all the problems if her family is with her but at the time her family became greedy and let her die knowing that she will not come back again.
