Jay Gatsby’s story would not be attainable in the 2020’s because he was a man who lied about his life, gained most of his money from selling illegal bootlegged alcohol, and had an almost total monopoly on drug stores in his area. Firstly, Gatsby loved telling people about his background to show his credibility.
