During the years of 1692 and 1693 there have been suspicions of witchcraft among our own people, few have said these statements are preposterous, but due to my findings through my research I have found the answers to the question many have been seeking. During the trial, many of our people testified against Abigail including the following: Tituba, Mary Warren, and John Proctor. While examining the testimonies, the prosecution was able to persuade these victims to divulge complete information on events involving Abigail. After attending the trial of the prosecution of Abigail Williams the jury ruled unanimously against for all accounts of first degree murder of John Proctor and 19 others, as well as attempted murder of Elizabeth Proctor. …show more content…

Mrs. Proctor says she fired Abigail because she suspected that Proctor had been seduced by the 17 year old to commit adultery that he later admitted to. As a result, Abigail became jealous and set out for revenge, after all the earlier woods action and Mary Warren brief support she had Mrs. Proctor arrested for witchcraft claiming that she crafted a poppet of her and used it to physically hurt her. On the stand, Abigail says she never intended to hurt John Proctor even though he ended up getting him killed. We later find out during the defendants questioning of Mr. Proctor that Abigail had no ill will against Mrs. Proctor until the trial. The two had not spoken to each other again until the trial and in his own words says, “Abigail confessed the truth to him, and wanted to run away with him”. Also, pleads innocent to the fact of not knowing that he led Abigail on in any way but as one time lovers, and then she became so obsessed to the point of causing innocent people to die for her undying love. After the final people were questioned, a recess was called for both sides to prepare its closing statements of the trial. The prosecution came out firing by questioning the
