In the play “Romeo and Juliet” a big misunderstanding occurs and many suffer from it. In “Romeo and Juliet” by Shakespeare two Characters Romeo and Juliet fall in Love and try to keep their marriage a secret. There were many reasons that led up to the incident in the tomb but the Three most responsible are Friar Lawrence, Capulet, and Romeo. I believe that many more characters played a role in the tragedy that occurred in the tomb.

Friar Lawrence is the main Reason for the Tragedy In “Romeo And Juliet’. Friar Lawrence knew it was a bad idea to marry Romeo and Juliet so quickly and still went with it. In the play, Friar Larence mentions how surprised he was that Romeo got over Rosaline and then Friar Lawrence mentions, “In one respect I’ll thy assistant be; for this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households’ rancor to pure love” (2.3.93-95). Friar Lawrence believed that Romeo and Juliet's marriage would solve the hatred towards the two families. Romeo Rushed his entire relationship with Juliet which caused them to get married in secret. After Friar Lawrence said that Rosaline knew too well not to fall for not believing what Romeo had said about love. Romeo says, “O, let us hence; I stand on sudden haste” (2.3.96). Romeo was rushing Friar Lawrence so that he could marry him to Juliet. Another Reason that I believe that Romeo is responsible for the incident is that he killed Tybalt and caused his own banishment from Verona, which caused his relationship with Juliet to be even more secretive and rushed. When the prince saw the bodies of Mercutio and Tybalt he decided to not kill Romeo but to “Immediately we do exile him hence” (3.1.87-88). This shows that Romeo had no time to spend With Juliet which caused Friar Lawrence to come up with a plan to reunite the two later
