Is it wrong or right to kill promiscuous girls? Should someone who is M.R. be punished or blamed for doing something bad? Of mice and men a novella written by John Steinbeck is full of mishaps and drama. George a small town smart guy is taking care of mentally handicapped named Lenny that gets mixed up in a mess with Curley’s wife who’s a tart and has bad intentions. Curley’s wife is a responsible for her death she is provoking the men, she seeks attention, and she always puts herself in bad situations. If she hadn’t provoked Lenny and told him to feel her hair she wouldn’t have died. Lenny not knowing his strength and his hand caught in her hair ended up in a bad situation. If Lenny had of knew his strength things would’ve ended differently. Although I think it was her fault, I could see why people think it was Lenny’s. Some people think it was Lenny’s fault because she told Lenny to stop and he kept doing it. If Lenny would’ve listened then things would’ve of happened the way they did. But with Lenny being M.R. and not knowing his strengths I don’t think that’s right. Could you really blame someone who’s M.R. for doing something bad and not understanding what they did was wrong? Curley’s wife should be responsible for this do to her ways of living around the ranch such as provoking the men, seeking attention, and always puts herself in bad positions. Lenny would not kill someone intentionally, if Curley’s wife wouldn’t of came in there and provoked him to feel her hair he would not have reacted the way he did. So what if Lenny did do something bad I don’t believe it was his fault therefore it was her fault. Not saying what he did was right but if you’re that young and living with a bunch of men don’t put yourself in those
