The death of a man, Julius Caesar. In 44 B.C. Julius Caesar the Roman dictator was loved by many citizens of Rome, but he was not loved by all. Some citizens of Rome hated Julius many of them in the senate. Two big conspirators of his death were Brutus and Cassius.
Have you ever wondered who killed Julius Caesar? It was a dark day that day you know March 15Th 44 BC the day that Julius Caesar was brutally murdered at the meeting in the Senate building. The people who were responsible for the assassination of Julius Caesar were Brutus, Cassius, and other members of the Senate. The first member of the Senate that took part in Julius’s murder was his thought to be friend Brutus.
What to me was more of the bigger reason for the demise of the Roman’s Republic was bad government practices. Before they were a democracy, Rome really tried to move away from a government that was by the people and put more and more of its power into those citizens that were wealthier than others. Those citizens that were more sociable and more economical created a Rome where citizens yearned for more leadership roles. Those having positions in the senate and fearing to be ruled by a dictator, plotted to have Caesar killed. Caesar’s death caused nothing more than more wars and a ton of new leaders.
The Senate, did not kill Caesar. It was a group of resentful and angry Senators, such as Cassius and Brutus who disliked Caesar. Some Senators supported Caesar. There are two conflicting reasons on the assassination of Caesar.
Julius Caesar was a notorious Roman general, skilled military strategist, and a member of the First Triumvirate. After his death there was civil war which caused the Roman Republic to fall but set the foundation for the arrival of the Roman Empire. He was born into a patrician class family on July 12 in 100 B.C.E. In 85 B.C.E. he became the head of his family at the age of 16 after his father’s sudden death. By 60 B.C.E. he along with Pompey and Crassus took control of the Roman Republic, this alliance is often referred to as the First Triumvirate.
But his rule would be brief. A few years later Caesar was founded murder. The Senators kill Julius Caesar because they was tired of him and all his power, they thought that Caesar had too much power and that all the power would go to his head and destroy Rome. Augustus, was Julius Caesar’s
Caesar then went to Egypt, where he defeated the pharaoh and named Cleopatra as the Queen of Egypt. Julius Caesar remained the “Roman Dictator” until he was assassinated on March 15, 44
44BC Julius Caesar was killed by people who thought he did not make right decisions. In 44 BC, Caesar was murdered by those politicians who feared that he was too obsessed with his own importance. His murder took place at the Senate House in Rome. After his murder, Rome was divided as to whether it was a good thing or not.
He was suspected to be too power hungry, the people of Rome thought he wanted to be king and that event led to his assasination. The assasination of Caesar was not justified because of how much he did for Rome, he wanted to show that he was a good leader and how he loved the people of Rome. He rejected the crown in front of the people and showed them he did not want it. Julius Caesar helped a lot of people. Rinado says that he “sought to provide opportunities to the poor.”
The murders of Julius Caesar is Brutus,Cassius, and the senate. “But Brutus, one of the conspirators who was then thought of as a firm friend, came up and said, 'What is this, Caesar? Are you a man to pay attention to a woman 's dreams and the idle gossip of stupid men, and to insult the Senate by not going out, although it has honored you and has been specially summoned by you? But listen to me, cast aside the forebodings of all these people, and come. The Senate has been in session waiting for you since early this morning.
Julius Caesar was considered loyal to all Roman people due to his great success in the military and his leadership. In William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, he gets assassinated because he has shown signs of dictatorship and the conspiracy was afraid that he would eventually become a dictator of Rome. First of all, Julius Caesar had made the Roman Republic the most powerful in the World by conquered Gaul and Britain.
In William Shakespeare’s play, Julius Caesar, many of the deaths that happened are because men are hard-headed and think they need power and control. They were delirious and resentful when they perceive another guy having more power. Although the main death in the play is of Caesar himself, there are others that have a profound impact on its outcome. Brutus, Portia, and Cassius all commit suicide for various reasons. Caesar, was killed by men that he thought he could trust.
If anyone would know who Julius Caesar was before his death, it would be Marcus Anthony. Marcus Anthony was Julius Caesar’s right hand man he knew his feats and how much he help the Roman people. The Roman people were always eager to follow a strong leader who would know what to do and the strength made them feel safer than if they have a weak leader. They were also very easily angered and if they were influenced enough they would do anything. The reason all of these happened is Marcus Anthony’s promise to Caesar that he would get revenge for the injustice done upon him.
My friend Brutus, We have known each other for many years, and as your friend, I feel as though I have a duty to Rome to contact you about the issue at hand. We should not kill Caesar. Caesar has made many mistakes by making his law then decided to break it, gave Gaul's places in the senate-house, and even went against the state by marching on Rome. Though Cassius has convinced you to kill Caesar, I plead with you to reconsider. Killing Caesar is not what the people want, but is what the conspirators are tricking you into thinking.
