Julius Caesar was considered loyal to all Roman people due to his great success in the military and his leadership. In William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, he gets assassinated because he has shown signs of dictatorship and the conspiracy was afraid that he would eventually become a dictator of Rome.
First of all, Julius Caesar had made the Roman Republic the most powerful in the World by conquered Gaul and Britain. He had an interest in politics since he was little. In fact, Caesar was turning out to be as energetic a commander as he was a politician. (“ First Great Campaigns” ) He adopted to military life just like any other man would. He used his own strategy and his victory over the Helvetii put Caesar in a perfect position to become that savior and unite Gaul--under Roman rule.
