On an Island of twelve boys, two were found dead, and one almost dead. Now it's time to find out who should be charged with murder with the attention on Jack Merridew. Simon was brutally murdered, Piggy was hit with a rock causing his head contents to explode, and Ralph was almost killed. All of the boys should be charged with the murder of Simon. Rodger should be charged with the murder of Piggy. Jack should be charged with the attempted murder of Ralph. All of the boys should be charged with the murder of Simon. All of the boys were having a fire and they thought Simon was the beast (Golding 153). Jack was the leader of the fire. They tore Simon apart (Golding 153). Jack started the fire and yelled at them to kill the beast. “ They got onto Simon, screamed, struck, bit and tore him.” (Golding 153). Jack was apart of the group that was killing Simon. They all stood there and realized what they did (Golding 153-154). Ralph was mad at himself and the others for what they had done to Simon (Golding 155). All of the boys killed Simon and they all should be charged with manslaughter because it was accidental because of the trance-like state the boys were in. …show more content…

“Rodger rolled the rock off of the cliff.” (Golding 180). Jack didn't have anything to do with it but Rodger did because he rolled the rock. “The rock hit Piggy causing him to fall” (Golding 181). Rodger killed Piggy on purpose and it wasn't Jack's fault. “Piggys heads contents exploded and the conch shattered.” (Golding 181).
