Romeo and Juliet is the most famous love story of all time. It tells the story of of two teengers who experience many things such as family bonds, long lasting feuds, testing of morals, love, and loss. Because of these influences, both end up dying. Three people who are responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet are Capulet, Friar Lawrence, and the nurse. One character who is responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet is Capulet. One thing that Capulet does to cause this was letting Romeo stay at his party even after Tybalt warns him. “Content thee, gentle coz, let him alone. It bears him like a portly and gentleman” (I. v. 63-64). By letting Romeo stay at the party, he allows them a chance to meet. Had capulet made Romeo leave then he might have never even met Juliet. Throughout the book the nurse brings all of Juliet’s messages and delivers them to Romeo acting as a messenger for the two. “Good heart, and i’ faith I will tell her as much. Lord, Lord! She will be a joyful woman” (II. iv. 154-155). Had the nurse not kept Romeo a secret from Juliet’s parents, then maybe the two would not have grown so close and their deaths could have been prevented. “Then hie you hence to Friar Lawrence’s cell. There stays a husband to make you a wife” (II. v. 78-79). The nurse set up Romeo and Juliet’s wedding while knowing that the two families would both be upset. The nurse has the chance to tell Juliet that this is a bad idea and stop her but instead she only encourages her. “I pray thee leave me to myself tonight. For I have need of many orisons” (IV. iii. 2-3). Juliet says this to the nurse the night before she is to marry Paris and the nurse makes the mistake of trusting her alone.
