This was a very interesting program that included programs to benefit children who don’t know how to cook, or don’t know how to grow their own food. There were also programs in place that helped inmates develop skills for when they are released. The inmates were taught basic life skills, financial literacy, personal finance skills, taught how to balance a checkbook, and taught where to look/go for resources within the community upon release. These are programs that relate to social and economic justice. The programs are in place for the community to use freely.
I believe that a child’s development during the early preschool years depends on their knowing what is expected of them and understanding what comes next. Keeping to this schedule helps not only the children but the adult as well. Keeping on task assists in decreasing unproductive down time while the grown up in charge scrambles for an idea of what to do. Additionally, I believe it is important to reevaluate the schedule from time to time in order to change what might not be working or to include different areas of interest or opportunities to learn. For example, an outdoor outing during the winter months is an excellent idea but would not work as well during the hot
It helps provide youth workers with education, tools, and skills that could help improve their knowledge. Making sure our children get the best education possible is the most important aspect of our community. Any community that cares about its future must also care about its younger
The Early Childhood Education program at my school allows students to see what it's like to work with children before obtaining a career in the teaching field. Finally, staff seminars allow staff to see different teaching techniques which gives them a new way to teach their students that benefits their
These activities will enrich their minds and strengthen their bodies. They can also build friendships with other kids in the neighborhood. It is also a great way for parents to get to know each
I loved this program, because it allowed me to get out there in my community and help give people with mental and/ or physical disabilities, live out there dream. From being a unified partner with their bowling team, to being a unified runner on their Track and field team, to just giving my time as a volunteer helping with the events logistics, it is one program, I am glad i'm affiliated
Also, play helps children to develop their physical, mental, social and emotionally. If children and young people have access to good play provision then it many benefits for them, these may be: • It will help to increase the children and young people’s awareness, self-esteem and self-respect. • It will give them opportunity to mix with other children whatever their background or ability are. •
It advances family prosperity by permitting parents to focus more on their employment. In addition it supports child defense, child care and preventive administrations, and serves families that are destitute or need of child watch over restorative or social reasons. In the meantime, it gives the childrens a strong establishment for proper advancement and training. Instructors and assistants work to help kids grow physically, socially, and inwardly, and every system worked by an associated patron has an instructive segment to advance in school. This is very useful in getting rid of poverty in the bronx.
Their Mission is, “We are committed to providing quality comprehensive services for the child and his/her family. Our activities are geared toward nurturing the growth and development of the children enrolled, involving parents in the program and providing them with opportunities to enhance their understanding and knowledge.”. This is where I actually did my service. I was placed in a classroom with 21 kids from the age 3-5. Immediately after walking into the room, a number of them got up from their storytime and hugged us and drug us over to sit with them.
The program touched on what would happen to a child mentally and not just physically. We learn a lot on how child develop in class but don’t really touch on how everything around them can affect them in a big way. For example, in the program I separated from my spouse for a while. The program went into how this was affecting my daughter and I got to later go into detail on
I have been enjoying being a part of this program and i plan to do it when i get older. Right now we have a 6 month old and a 7 month old. I love meeting all of these children and watching them learn and grow. This is a experience that i will hold dear to my heart for the rest of my life.
I disagree with having at least one extracurricular activity for kids. I personally feel like this decision is kinda unfair to kids. Reasons like time consuming and not being able to fit in is the complications kids can face. However, there are a few positive effects but not many. Kids should have there own decision on whether they want to do a activity or not but it shouldn't be a rule.
Even if you’re not involved in their play it offers a sense of reassurance to children. You can also support a play based approach to learning by encouraging children to play with things they may not have played with before e.g playing with the resource yourself alongside the child. If a child sees what you can do with the resource then they are more likely to eventually participate along side you, copying what you are doing. 4.3 Evaluate different materials and equipment to support play based learning opportunities for children in their early years
Kids don't have to worry about missing a meeting or worry about paying for gas. Transportation is easy for kids. Kids don't have to worry about gas or getting in a wreck. They just walk outside and walk to their friend's house or get on a bike and go ride around the neighborhood with their friends. Kids have so much energy they can run to their friend's house or talk there.
