Reading myths is still enjoyed today. By reading myths you can learn many lessons that are were valuable and are still valuable today. Being greedy can lead to terrible outcomes because they can cause a fight, It can also cause someone to lose they're only chance to what they wanted, and it can result in someone getting hurt.To prove my point there are many fables that have characters that are greedy and impatient. My claim about these fables/myths is that acting greedily can lead to terrible outcomes. My first example is in " The Swollen Fox" , where a fox found some meat that was left behind inside a tree by a shepherd and he ate all of it. As an outcome he was too fat to get out. In the " The Black Ships Before Troy" , Three godesses, Hera, Athene, and Aphrodite were greedy for a golden apple and to be claimed the fairest. So the goddesses offered Paris(a shepard/prince) gifts if he claimed one of them the fairest but Aphrodite offered to get Paris a beautiful wife as fair as herself and Paris being greedy accepted and chose Aphrodite. Then as an outcome started a war all because of their greed for a small golden apple. Another example is that in this story greed even lead to killing. " The Hen and The Golden Eggs." Here a cottager and his wife had a hen that laid golden eggs. They were greedy for riches that they foolishly decided to kill the hen thinking that it would contain a great lump of gold and they would become rich just like that. But, to their surprise the hen had nothing, no gold. Because of their greediness they had just lost their only chance at becoming rich because of tone foolish greedy act. My last example is that greediness even lead to death. In " The Flies and The Honey Pot" a group of flies found a pot of honey which they devoured. They ate so much that as an outcome became stuck and couldn't get out. So they stayed there and perished and all because they were greedy for the pot of honey and
