At this very moment the Spanish fleet is on its way to invade England, in order to remove ELizabeth from power and turn the country Catholic once and for all.
It was a very brave decision made by our powerful King to attack England.
There are a number of very important reasons why he had to invade,
Firstly, Elizabeth refused to marry King Philip and this ruined a possible and good alliance. England and Spain have been trying to maintain a decent relationship and Elizabeth finished this.
Secondly, Elizabeth refused to marry Philip and this ruined his chance to change England into a Catholic country. This also made Philip want to be King of England even more and to seize the country and turn it Catholic.
Thirdly, King Philip’s ships were raided by Sir Francis Drake. Philip’s ships were transporting lots of treasure and he lost a lot of money because of Drake. Philip also believed that Elizabeth was ordering Drake to do this. …show more content…

This was because Philip owned Spain and Britain was making an alliance with part of his country right underneath his nose. Elizabeth also help the people of Netherlands in a rebellion against Spain and this made King Philip of Spain very angry.
The most important reason has to be the plundering of King Philip’s own ships. This is because Sir Francis Drake should never have touched Philip’s ship and raid them. When he did, Elizabeth should have punished him and told him it was wrong to do such a thing. King Philip lost a lot of money from this, therefore this is the most important
