They were the rich people that didn’t have to pay taxes and who took care of the king. Next, were the nobles they were middle class people next to the first class and they also were privileged and didn’t have to pay taxes who also took care of the king. Of course, the one that people didn’t really care too much is commoners the everyone else the third estate. The reason that is because it was the poor estate that pays for everything that the first and second class didn’t want to pay including taxes. That is why the third estate asked for a meeting because they felt that they were treated unfairly and they wanted a change. The king called a meeting with all of the three estates to come to an agreement on the tax change so that all three estates pay taxes. But the change didn’t happen and the third estate left and made their own form of government the National Assembly they remained together until they made a new constitution.
