With the promises of honor and prosperity, Germany unknowingly granted Adolf Hitler the power to implement his plans into fruition. As such he began his tyrannical rule over Germany resulting in a mass genocide known as the Holocaust. During this time period, Hitler and his Nazi party attempted to eradicate the Jewish population within Europe and spread their anti-Semitic policies throughout the world. At the end of World War II, only a certain amounts of people were able to survive the Holocaust. However, the survivors are still haunted by the events that occurred to them.
The Holocaust is considered one of the most notable events to happen in human history. Adolf Hitler’s plan was to exterminate all races of which he thought was inferior to his master race, The Aryan Race. To effectively kill them, he made concentration camps where the prisoners would be worked to death. Sadly, most of the races targeted and killed were the Jews. They were blamed for everything such as World War I and World War II.
The Holocaust was the state-sponsored persecution and annihilation of Jews in Europe by the Nazis. The purpose of the Holocaust was to remove the Jewish people permanently from the European Continent. In Germany, the rights of the Jews gradually were restricted. Jews were prevented from voting, living outside the Jewish ghetto and from owning a business.
During this time 6,000,000 Jews were killed, not by war, but rather at the hands of Germany. Hitler believed that Jews were an inferior race and was a threat to German purity. After years of being mistreated Hitler had a plan called the Final Solution, which was the attempt to extinct the entire Jewish Population. Germany would accomplish this by concentration camps that were set up in Poland.
Millions and millions of Jewish people were murdered because of Adolf Hitler, the dictator of Germany from 1933 to 1944. This event was called the Holocaust. During this event, many Jews from Germany and other countries nearby were taken to concentration camps. At these camps, Jews were murdered, starved, and tortured. Adolf Hitler was the reason for this because of his hatred toward Jews.

I think the author's purpose for writing this book is to not discriminate against people and what race or religion they are, to inform people who read the book about what happened during the holocaust and to show that some people were uninformed about what was actually going on during that time. In the book, Bruno, the main character, moves to a house right outside of the camp and meets a boy named Shmuel. Shmuel is on the other side of the fence, and Bruno does not understand that Shmuel is trapped and is being treated terribly. He also doesn’t see Shmuel as different, like most people did during the years of the holocaust, and I think that’s one way the author tried to tell us that not everyone was informed about what was actually going on,
The Holocaust was one of the most devastating times for all of the world. It strained the world’s economy and resources; death tolls were tremendously high and injuries were severe. This Final Solution was the creation of a system of camps that were specially build for the incarceration or extermination of the European Jews, (252). Hitler’s mission was to rid Germany of Jews and eventually the rest of Europe. Jews were captured and forced into camps where they faced horrific treatments and many times death.
The Holocaust is a time in history when millions of people were persecuted in Europe by being sent to live in ghettos and eventually being deported to concentration camps where they were systematically annihilated until the Allied forces liberated the remaining survivors. The Jews were moved to the ghettos, because Hitler pushed the Jews to move to the east, then they concore move of the east and move them more to the east. Then “there was no more room for them to move to the east, so they built ghettos for them to live” (Byers 32). But his true intentions were to “separate the Jewish people from manly Germans and also other races” (Allen 37).

German Fuher Adolf Hitler targeted all Jewish citizens because he believed that they were a threat to the German community. He believed that Germans were superior and wanted to remove other groups of non-Aryans from existence. He decided on the final plan to solve the Jewish question in 1941 and started planning it in January of 1942. This final plan was meant to kill eleven million Jews but resulted in the murder of six million.

The Holocaust is the deadliest recognized genocide in human history. It lasted from January 30,1933 – May 8,1945 and would result in the l1 million deaths. The causes of the Holocaust begin at the end of World War One with what Germans referred to as “the stab in the back”. This was a myth that claimed the German Army did not loose World War One but was betrayed by the Jewish population who gave up land and supplies to the Allies. As this spread anti-Semitism or hate for Jewish people grew in Germany as people viewed the Jewish population as deceptive and traitorous.
