America became a global superpower because it was the only one that actually made a profit of the war. By, the time the war was over the United States was a fairly populated nation with 1.5 million standing army by the time the war was finished. America’s infrastructure remained relatively unscathed. After the Allies finally got victory, America thought that it was the right time to ensure that there was fair treatment on opposite sides when the Treaty of Versailles was being drawn up for them to sign.
