Tim Burton is best known for directing movies that don’t fit the normal mold for movies. Most people just call them creepy and random, but they’re making a mistake, there’s actually a lot lot of consistencies between his movies. One of his movies, Edward Scissorhands, was written by Caroline Thompson and directed by Tim Burton, is about an old scientist’s human creation, Edward, but dies before he can finish the creation. Edward is left secluded in the dead scientist’s mansion, with scissors in the place of his hands. A saleswoman named Peg takes him home from the dead scientist’s mansion.

The three national episodes that impacted the world I live in was The Great Depression, The Cold War, and September 11,2001. The events that occurred during The economic depression and the political tension following World War 2 between NATO Allies and Western Powers such as the United States has affected many aspects of the world .
Multitudes of components marked the beginning of the World War 2, but with the sacrifices made on both the American Home front and troops, the Allies were able to stop the spread of communist governments throughout Europe. Women, men, and children all from different backgrounds, ages, races and religions dropped everything to work in factories, fight in combat, buy war bonds and ration supplies to support the war effort in every way they could. Many had to sacrifice time with their family, as well as the fear of whether or not they would ever be able to see their loved ones again. Without the sacrifices made by the American people both on the Home front and battle field, the outcome of the World War 2 would have not of ended in the allies
Both the september eleven and pearl harbor had a very big effect on the united states. These two events changed america in a lot of different ways. These two events changed america a lot it brought a lot of deaths and is destroyed so many things. We started so many wars because of this and because of all this wars there was a lot of deaths.
The Pearl Harbor attack was maybe the biggest influence on the United States entering World War 2. The attack on Pearl Harbor was a big surprise on them. This attack was so much of a surprise because it was early and from lots of angles. This attack came a profound shock to the American people and led directly into entry of World War 2. Pearl Harbor was on December 7, 1941.
In the years 1939 through 1945, World War II took place between the Axis Powers and Allies . Germany’s attack on Poland, in 1939, was the first indication that Hitler meant business and wouldn’t stop till he reached his ultimate goals. The U.S. had no interest in joining the fight up until 1941 when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor . Having no other choice and wanting revenge for the destruction, the U.S. joined the fight and caused a major turning point in the war. The war caused massive amounts of destruction and deaths which caused soldiers to giving up and feel hopeless with fears of dying.

On September 11th, terrorists hijacked planes and crashed them in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania. In this attack, many people lost their lives, and the government responded with immediate actions to stop the activity of terrorists. The events of 9/11 had a profound impact on American society because of how many people were affected and the subsequent changes in national security policies and public perceptions of safety.
I’m here to narrow down a few centuries of history into just five major events that set America into motion. The American Revolution played a large part in shaping the country. This war was fought between the early Americans( known then as Colonists) and the British, and lasted from 1775 to 1781. With a lot of military help from the French, George Washington was able to force a large part of Britain’s army to surrender and won the war.

This gave the American army the supply of canons it needed to fight the British.

There are many events that have made World War II significant and i will show you in this essay. World War II started basically because of one of the most known killer in the world Adolf Hitler. His role in the Holocaust is greatly significant because of the way that he punished, treated, and through of jews using concentration camps. In concentration camps jews were gassed, imprisoned and forced to do things that they didn't want to like forced labor.

Each event has not only impacted the time period it was set in but also may even still be impacting our lives today. By studying and analyzing America’s history one can learn the struggles and triumphs of a young nation that became the superpower it is today.
