World War I was a big moment for America, a time when an nation involved itself in world affairs and began the rise to the economic and military power that America is today. The people of America were affected by world war one in many ways. They were first limited to what they could buy including sugar so that they can provide rations for countries. Full freedom for colored people was a problem in other words there were second class citizens. This was a huge problem because we had covered many fighting our battles and dying for there countries leaving their families and helping us but if they were to come back these heros who fought for the greater good of the country would be mistreated and discriminated by their color. And when they went to fight Germany had a better offer than america did as seen in document c it is a letter from germany talking to the colored soldiers saying that they would have it much better with them some colored people as themselfs are high in power in germany and that they would be treated so much better if they were to go there. This potentially was a huge problem and could have affected the people greatly because if our soldiers started to go there to germany we could get ourselves into a fight and a big problem that we can now not handle. In the propaganda poster picture it shows how all these countries was like a chain if you touch them we will... . as it said things like this in the poster it shows how big this was it involved the whole world and making these enemies and allies it a torrential thing in how our country can progress in the future especially our people. It shows how big of a thing we were entering and this was affecting the people because it was very dangerous. And it was a huge chain reaction of countries where you were always making different enemies because whoever you fight with has people under them and under them so it was not a good situation to make enemies at this time.
