When I think of Walt Disney, the first thing that comes to my mind is cartoons for kids. He loved creating new stories. He believed in the power of a good story, and that is why he chose to produce propaganda films. He thought that a good story would help us win the war, and it did. Another reason why he produced these films was the Great Depression. Walt Disney’s contribution to World War II was not on the front lines, but back home. His propaganda films helped us win the war because he boosted U.S. citizens morale and told them what they could do on the homefront to increase the chances of winning. Although it was not easy for him, he knew what he had to do in order to help his country.
