There were four fronts: Eastern front, Western front, Atlantic front, and Middle Eastern front. All the actions that took place in each front all led to the armistice being signed on the eleventh of November. World War I started as mainly a European conflict seeing as most allies originated from countries in Europe and Europe had most of the power, but in the end it expanded to beyond Europe as outside countries were brought into the conflict for multiple reasons.

The war of 1812 is one to remember. The war happened between the British and the Americans. This happened because the British stopped trade with the Americans due to a war between the British and the French. Another reason was because of the impressment that the British started against the American sailors. For these reasons, the war of 1812 happened.
World War One, or others would call it the Cold War or the First World War, began in the year 1914. The war erupted when a Siberian nationalist assassinated Franz Ferdinand, which was Austria-Hungary’s archduke. The assassination caused Europe to declare war with Serbia. The war lasted about five years and ending in the year 1919. Even though the war was between European countries, the United States was affected in many ways and it also changed the United States.
Based on the Declaration there could be peace without victory. Germany made the proposal to Wilson to end the war. Because they felt they had an advantage on the battlefield. The Allied Powers wanted to continue fighting. The war it's been a vicious fight fault in Europe.
The Battle of Britain was struggling with hard times which meant that the British Royal Air force erupted over Britain between July and October of 1940. The battle happened above Britain. About a year before hand Woodrow Wilson runs for reelection to become president again. He was reelected because he told America that he would keep them out of the war.

The Central Powers and Allies both used a variety of weapons such as machine guns, chemical weapons , clothing, biplanes, artillery, tanks, grenades, and rifles. These weapons were state of the art for the early 20th century. These weapons caused casualties to skyrocket as the Allies and the Central Powers were in a stalemate.
“I believe that this war is a challenge for our time and for each individual, a test by fire that we may ripen into manhood, become men able to cope with the coming stupendous years and events.” This was said by a German volunteer before he headed for the front lines in the First World War (McKay, Hill and Buckler 830). World war One is can also be called ,The Great War, due to the fact that it was the worst war that world had ever experienced. In this war many people were killed, in fact more people in this particular war died than any other war known to men. In the process of the war 2% of the world's population was gone, not only did soldiers die but a pretty good amount of civilians died as well, and by civilians I mean people like the nurses that helped with aiding the wounded soldiers. Even worse,

Britain had been the World’s only international naval superpower for well over 100 years until Germany decided to challenge their dominance. Shortly after the start of World War I, the Anglo-French Naval Convention (1914) was signed, which greatly shaped Allied naval strategy.
