What was the main cause that started WW1? For many years, this has been a question that many historians have asked themselves. Many of them believe that Germany was the country who started the war and I agree with this. I think that Germany led to the beginning of the war because of many reasons. The German General staff intentionally urged Austria-Hungary to act unreasonably after the assassination of the austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand so that Germany wouldn’t be completely surrounded by its enemies.
World War II was a war that started because of a Fammious not so good leader named Adolf Hitler who made it really clear that he was antisemitic and wanted Jews to be a thing of the past. He started mass genocide against Jews in 1933 when he came into power. Then, on September 1, 1939, Hitler invaded Poland, which started World War II single handly until September 2, 1945, when he killed himself in a bunker. And this made World War II justified because of the mass genocide of Jews and civilians, and the sure amount of power Hitler had over Europe. But its also not Justified because World War II was justified to stop Hitler from killing more Jews and civilians.
The Treaty of Versailles helped cause World War Two because a handful of countries that were involved in the war got no say on what was or was not included in the treaty. This caused those Allie countries that were not included to believe that they need to fight against the people who were once on their side to prove that they were just as important. Also so the losing country Germany had a variety of punishments pushed onto them for starting the war so they were outraged at the winning countries as well. Germany was the main reason for the start of World War Two in Document B it is stated that Germans military was reduced. They were only allowed to have 100,000 men for peacekeeping missions and conquering frontiers within their boundaries.
Many factors played into the start of World War I like nationalism, the arms race, the lack of balance of power, Sebians assassinating the Archduke of Austria-Hungary, and alliances, but there is one big cause you can argue that started the war. Tension between and within countries caused leaders of the countries and groups to spark rebellions of the groups, and one thing after another a World War was on their hands. Germany's tensions between France and Russia started alliances. Serbia had sparked the first rebellion by trying to gain independence from the mother country Austria. Europe was thought to be in a strong position, but at the end of 1918 the position was reduced.
World War II The versailles treaty helped cause World War II because Germany lost several territories, their military and army were limited, they also had to pay reparations and they had to admit that they were guilty. World War II began in 1914 due to an assassination in the balkans that helped lead to the actual fighting. Leaders from around the world met at versailles in France to come up with a treaty. Prime Minister David Lloyd George of England, Prime Minister Georges Clemenceau of France, and Woodrow Wilson President of the United States all played a major part in the versailles treaty.
Aggression and Atrocities Leading to WWII World War 2 began because of the totalitarian governments. During World War 1 they became they became allies. A totalitarian regime is a centralized government that controls the lives of citizens. Roosevelt wanted to stay neutral and wanted peace with Germany and Japan they both refused and decided to plan many acts of aggression. Roosevelt writing a letter to Hitler seeking peace, Einstein enlightening Roosevelt about nuclear weapons to help aid during the war, Roosevelt’s fireside chat and many more were a result of America entering the war.
world war II had multiple underlying causes. The three main causes of the war were: nationalism, militarism, and alliances. Although these reasons aren't the only sparks that started world war II it certainly added to the flame that spiraled into a war that would last six years and kill millions. Numerous countries identified war as a provider of power, freedom, and honor. Bringing us to nationalism or in a more empowering connotation of patriotism.
On November 11, 1918, the 11th day of the 11th month, Germany signed an armistice, ending what was called by the people the War to end all Wars. Little did they know, World War 2 would break out only years later. The rise of Adolf Hitler, a German Politician, led to the outbreak of World War 2. Hitler created the idea of Lebensraum, a German living space, which fired up the German people. With the support of his people, Hitler rearmed the German military, which went against the terms of the Treaty of Versailles.
As a result, Germany increased a war to themselves because they could use their neighbor 's war as an opportunity to spread across. Therefore, Germany caused World War 1 because they used the opportunity to increase the war in order to gain more land. In the end, all countries had some participation and thus, were a “cause” of World War 1. Germany transformed the small war into a widespread and massive war.
The Second World War was a global war starting in 1939 with the German invasion of Poland. Lasting roughly six years, with 60 million deaths, and 6 million jews killed, it was the bloodiest battle ever known. Most argue that Germany solely caused the war, but truthfully it had many different causes with Germany's invasion of Poland being the catalyst. The four main causes of World War II are the Treaty of Versailles, the economy, Fascism, and American/European responses. We will go into detail of how each of these contributed to the beginning of Second World War.
WHY WW1 STARTED There are many reasons for the start of ww1 but here are a couple. The main start for ww1 was the assassination of the archduke franz ferdinand. He was killed june 28,1914 by gavrilo princip. Him and his wife were killed in his car after multiple assassination attempts.
The war began because Germany had spiraled into an economic depression after WWI. According to Craig L.Symonds (2014)“The germans had just reached a population of around 65 million” and with their weak government the people were open to extremist ideas this gave Adolf Hitler the opening he needed to rise to power. Hitler rose to power as head of the Nazi party from 1934 to 1945. He initiated World War II and oversaw fascist parties that resulted in millions of deaths.(Adolf Hitler biography, n.d.).
In 1939, German soldiers attacked the Polish, which was considered the start of the war. However, 1941 was the official start of World War II, also known as the second war. It started in a period in time that involved pure evil inflicted onto the innocent. It was the greatest conflict in history. The war was fought on land, air, and sea but the foot soldier won this war with their determination.
When you strike a match against a striker the match ignites almost instantly. It will burn for 6 seconds and it will burn the wood stick for another 2 seconds. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife is like the striker that lit the match. The match lit the fire and it lasted for 4 years and the fire was World War 1. One man's assassination might not have started World War 1.
Another cause of the World War II was that after World War I, the European nations wanted to maintain peace , but Hitler did not. Hitler became aggressive and started to take land from neighboring
