Throughout the world, many schools have adopted the concept of a dress code, or school uniform. This has been the case in many schools which have too big of an emphasis has been put on people's clothing. People have been prejudiced against others in schools, based on what they wear. Schools without a dress code believe that dress codes promote uniformity, rather than individuality. Many people view a dress code as a violation of the freedom of expression; however, a dress code prevents bullying, allows students to get ready more efficiently, concentrate in class and increase safety in a school setting.
