Why Do Fast Food Companies Cause Obesity?

On average 47.4% of children under the age of 19 are obese. Now who is to blame, the fast food companies for not providing enough nutritional information, or the parents who take their children to the companies enough to get them obese. The parents do take their children to the companies, but isn't it the companies job to provide warning of the products they serve. Fast food companies are starting to fulfill the needs of the obese by increasing the portion sizes and adding ingredients to the food causing the food to be more addicting. This alone is causing obesity to increase and become more popular to America.

The fast-food companies have seized control of the food world making it more difficult and expensive to purchase a healthy meal. However, parents still take their children to fast food companies, whether they know the risk or not. For example, in a documentary called Super Size Me, an experiment was conducted and in result, it was determined that” when consuming too much fast food it can affect your mood and effectiveness.” Healthy food gives you energy, while fast food makes you tired and addicted. It’s all about what is in your food. For example, in a documentary called Food, INC they showed a scene of a chicken farm owned by a big food company. The sight showed a huge overproduction of chickens and hormones being added to the chickens for faster growth. These added hormones can cause humans problems when eating too much. It can result in mood changes, depression, tired/laziness, and chest pain, Yet the food companies still go through this
