The best people to be around are the ones who are honest with you and can be truthful. There are many people in the world but most of them aren’t honest and truthful to the people around them for various reasons. Some of these people have a hard time being honest all the time because there may be a certain part of their life that is hard to admit, however, others find joy out of being dishonest and find it humorous to live a life of lies. On the contrary, sometimes people believe that being honest all the time can begin to hurt those around them based on how harsh the truth is, however, I disagree. I believe that no matter how harsh or hurtful the truth may be people should have the opportunity to know the truth about what is going on, especially if it involves a huge part of their life. Therefore, people should be honest all the time because they can be trusted, have better relationships, and act as a good support system for those in their life.

For example, if you were going through a rough patch in your life and you needed someone there to help you get back on your feet you would reach for those who have been honest with you through everything no matter how hard it was to bear. A great saying that best expresses this is, “The greatest friends are the the ones who are there for you through rough times.” For instance, if someone close to your is suffering from a loss then they would look to you for support because they can trust that when you say everything will be alright it is the truth because you haven’t betrayed their trust by lying.
