William Shakespeare is the most studied and acclaimed author in today’s world. Someone with the ability to arrange words in such a beautiful and poetic way is someone who deserves the praise. However, many people believe the man who we think wrote Shakespeare’s plays did not actually pen his works. Though there are many theorists who believe that Shakespeare did not write his plays, however scholars still believe that Shakespeare is the sole author of his works.
One reason many people believe William Shakespeare did not write Shakespeare is there is not a lot of documentation about him. The only documents there are about him are his marriage certificate, a will, and some financial transactions. There are no records of his schooling or any drafts of any of his works. Despite the lack of documentation, no one questioned the authorship of the plays until two centuries after his supposed death (BBC WEBSITE). This fact pioneered this theory.

Acquaintances, like Ben Jonson and Francis Meres, have in some way mentioned that he was a poet and a playwright. In addition, scholars say there would not even be a theory if it was not for Shakespeare’s posthumous popularity.
