Magic

Wicca is a witchcraft tradition that originates from England in the 20th century. Wiccans perform many rituals but one of their most well know ritual is magic. Wiccans practice magic and they believe that the human mind has the power to effect change in ways that are not understood by science.

Witches believe that the energies they create influences what happens to them. In addition, many Wiccans believe magic to be the law of nature, but they do not view magic as being supernatural. To add, some Wiccans believe that magic means using all five senses in order to see results.

During ritual practices, Wiccans cast spells that are intended to bring real change in the physical world. Many of these spells include magic that is used to protect, heal, fertility, and banish negative influences. Wiccans refer to their own magic as white magic, which is performed by good intentions. Many Wiccans use this symbol while practicing magic. They place the pentagram on an altar. However, many Wiccans will wear this symbol as a form of jewelry; as a reminder of there belief. Pentagrams are also used to open and close circles for power during ritual work.

In addition, the five points of the star represent the four classical elements, the fifth element usually symbolizes self. Fire is the lower right, lower left is earth, water is the upper right, and the air is upper left. The Pentagram symbol is usually drawn in the air during rituals. Wiccans also use the Pentagram as a symbol of protection.

To conclude, in modern times Wiccans are usually drawn in the air with a wand or other magical tool to banish unwanted negative energy. But some Wiccans do associate an inverted Pentagram with
