He thinks about the fragility of one man versus the strength of unity and recites some of the Scripture that Jim Casy taught him. Tom is tired of seeing starving men needlessly suffer while avaricious landowners do nothing to alleviate their plight. He is angry that “people livin’ like pigs, an’ the good rich lan’ layin’ fallow, or maybe one fella with a million acres, while a hunderd thousan’ good farmers is starvin’”(Steinbeck 288) He decides he wants to fight back against the injustice and thievery. Tom changes significantly as a result of Casy’s death.

He, along with many other American composers of the early 19th century, wrote music that had distinct characteristics that gave Americans a sense of pride and gave music the American sound. His music single handedly created pride in the American people during a time that was considered by many one of the worst periods in our great nation’s history.
Tom often doesn’t think all of his activities through, which can cause catastrophic issues. Huckleberry Finn- An orphaned boy of about Tom’s age. He too is also very adventurous and especially imaginative. Huck lives on his own as he has never met his parents.
He becomes Tom’s follower. One example of this phenomenon is when Huck devised a quick and simple plan to free Jim from prison, but Tom argued that the plan needed to be more daring. Tom then crafted his own plan which Huck went along with. Mark Twain even notes on this phenomenon in his autobiography when he says “When people let Huck Finn alone he goes peacefully along, damaging a few children here and there and yonder... It is only when well-meaning people expose him that he gets his real chance to do harm” (Twainquotes).
So, He usually just to raving, but this plan isn’t success. Until, Tom meet Huck and listen about Huck’s story. Then, Huck told him to help Jim. He always excited and plan to help Jim. Many plan of Tom are very difficult and confuse.
He lied to Aunt Sally and said he was just a half brother of Huck’s when he was actually Aunt Sally’s nephew. He was adding on to Huck’s lie. That was the only good lie he told because it helped Huck not get into trouble with Aunt Sally. Tom tried to make things like stories. “You’ve got to invent all the difficulties” ( Twain 231).
In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, the characters of Huck and Jim , undeniably grow a bond as the novel progresses. Huck never had a parent figure in his life because his mom was dead and his dad, Pap lacked the qualities of an exceptional father. Jim , a runaway slave who Huck travels with down the Mississippi river, is said to be Hucks true father. Jim provides Huck with protection ,knowledge, and care, which establishes a father and son bond between them. Jim plays the role of a father to Huck because he provides him with protection.
However, an obstacle is put forth when Huck realizes Tom is coming to visit his family. Then I say to myself, spose Tom Sawyer come down on the boat?- and spose he steps in here, any minute, and sings out my name before I can throw him a wink to keep quiet?”(225). Huck pretending to be Tom Sawyer realizes the situation and quickly is able to think on the spot to avoid Tom ruining his plan. Hence demonstrating Huck’s willing to do whatever it takes, no matter the circumstance to save
From the beginning Huck follows Tom around, going along with his plans. Finally he sees that Tom could really care less about freeing
and he was imaginative, dominating, always had wild plans for him and Finn, he was everything Huckleberry Finn was not, and also was the leader of the gang. Jim was one of Miss Watson’s household slaves. He was occasionally sentimental, superstitious, intelligent, and practical. This demonstrates how Miss Watson is trying to stain religion on huck even though she does not fully understand it herself. Huck and Tom clearly demonstrate some of humanitys fault in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Twain uses diction, dialouge, and characterization to symbolize society through Tom and Huck in order to show the Hypocricy and Blind comformity in an everyday society.
Individuals often say that the right way may not necessarily be the popular way, but standing up for the right thing, despite it being frowned upon, will be the true test of one’s moral character. This relates to the moral growth that Huck Finn experiences throughout his journey. Mark Twain’s controversial novel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, can be said to be a compelling story about how one individual, Huck Finn, goes against society’s ideals. Huck’s moral development can be said to be based primarily on those around him, especially Jim. Many instances also influence Huck’s morals, particularly during the raft journey that will change his beliefs and morals.

Additionally, this develops Tom as a selfless character because he makes personal sacrifices to help those he views as weak and that need help. Through the examination of the gender stereotypes Tom holds as truth, the reader can recognize how those beliefs influence his behavior towards girls, which prompts Tom to try to cheer and shelter them, and in turn develops his character as a noble

Who is Huck? At the beginning of the book Huck let’s Tom walk all over him, tell him what do. He didn’t stop Tom from doing what he thought was right but really wasn’t , it was more like it was a stupid idea. He would never stand up for himself he would if he wanted something. Pap also made Huck realize what behaviors were right and what ones were wrong.
