Why Goals Are Important In The First 9 Weeks Of AP Calculus

Throughout most everyone’s educational career, teachers and administration have harped on the fact that goals are important. However, it was not until recently that I understood how valuable goals can be in the long run. The reason that goals are important is that they can ease the mind about how much work you are actually doing. For example, when writing an essay, I take it goal by goal; first I write an outline, then I go paragraph by paragraph until it is finished. This makes the workload far less strenuous and make you more willing to jump through the hoops to get it done. The first 9 weeks of AP Calculus went amazingly. Perhaps it’s just because I personally enjoy math and could do it all day any day, but I’ve enjoyed the class so far.
