Last month there was a deadly shooting at a Waffle House in Tennessee. Four people were killed in that shooting. One of the reasons the suspect was able to be stopped is because his gun jammed. A person sitting in Waffle House used that as his chance to jump on the shooter and take him down before he could get it working again. Gun control has the power to stop people that aim to shoot people just because. Assault weapons, and anything that can turn a gun into an assault weapon should be banned. The last time there was an attempt at gun control in the United States was in 1994. There was a study done that showed the number of shootings involving an assault weapon significantly decreased. One of the reasons people are able to go in and shoot so many people before being taken down is the type of gun they use to shoot. In addition to the criminals getting life or the death penalty; it should be almost impossible for someone to get their hands on anytype of gun that could not be justified as home/personal
