The pros on gun control is very obvious yet not put into use because of many other opinions on it. The pros of gun control can be significant. One significance would be that gun control can dramatically drop murder rates involved by firearms and also the percentage in the total estimation by violent crimes. As a stated quote in Gun.laws.com “Out of those crimes, just over 500,000 involved the use of firearms, which is about 8% of the total estimation of violent crimes.” This information shows already how many firearms are involved in crimes and supposedly firearms are about 8% of the estimation on real serious violent crimes!
It’s true that gun control will not prevent criminals from obtaining guns or breaking laws. Many people may think that gun control won’t make any difference since anyone can easily access guns just by stealing them. Some people claim that laws for gun control can infringe upon the right to self defense. For instance, the police cannot protect everyone all the time and make them feel protected. Although gun control infringes the right to self defense, it is been proved that guns are rarely used as self defense.
Gun control has been a big factor in today’s society, now days it is often to see people getting their lives taken from them due to guns. Having researched the other side of the issue, more gun owners are feeling their rights are being taken little by little. There is no question this is a complicated issue that will require a complicated answer.
Does The U.S. Need Tougher Gun Laws In my opinion i think there should be stricter gun laws because in the Text it says “Guns don't cause crimes, but they do make crimes more lethal” which is true because having a gun can promote violent actions. having stricter gun laws are just to keep america safe. instead of it being possible to get a gun when ever you're going to have to go through background checks. If this law was passed i think it could cause a better future for everybody.
Anyone that thinks gun control is the answer to the killing that is going on is wrong! Nothing will change until parents start teaching their children right from wrong. Gun Control is too much of a political something you do to win a battle or to get what you want and failing. Politicians talks about the need to increase gun restrictions to stop gun crime, but new and current gun laws are designed to fail in order to allow certain people to own them and make unhappy because of not having a vote others.
Gun Control has been a widely controversial topic throughout the United States. While the topic of guns has always been an argument, mass shooting have caused them to become a more popular topic of discussion within the past ten years. Liberalists believe that the root of all the mass shooting is the use of guns; whereas, conservatives believe that guns provide protection for freedom, families, and their own life. The conservatives argue that people kill people, not guns. Even though many people believe gun control will lead to fewer violent deaths, increasing the amount of people with guns obtained legally and safety training will protect the citizens from facing the wrong end of a gun.
Gun control has been a hot debate for many years among Americans. Most countries around the world don’t allow firearms to be owned by normal citizens, and those who do are very heavily restricted. Those are countries I would not want to live in. I believe that the right to own a firearm is one of the most important rights in our Constitution. Without firearms I cannot hunt, which is one of my favorite activities.
Gun control has always been an issue in the US, simply because we love our guns. The only problem is too many people have been killed for no specific reason. This has caused more mayhem than ever before, with riots, movements and more murder. There has to be a way to stop these events and actually move forward with a valid system for guns that stops all this violence and nonsense. We have come too far in this world to have problems the cowboys should have only
Now is the time to pull the trigger on limiting gun control. With the events that have happened in recent years, many look at gun control as the answer. The problem is just as these events polarize the public, and provide an outcry for preventing them; guns have helped stop violence from occurring in schools and shops from Mississippi to Pennsylvania (Wilson). Heading the main argument for not advancing gun control is self-defense, which gins being used for self-defense occurs between 100,000 and two million times a year. As Wilson states in his article, even outright bans and incredibly tough rules do not stop these events from occurring, such as in England, France, and Germany.
The use of and the owning of guns is a very hot and debated topic in society today. For many, this is a life and death debate due to the recent and numerous school shootings. These school shootings have caused an outcry for more gun control, specifically in relation to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Despite these calls, increased gun control is not the answer. Most gun owners’ use their guns responsibly and for good purposes.
The debate over gun control has caused a great amount of attention from the media in the past five years. When Adam Lanza killed 20 first-graders and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., before taking his own life in one of the nation 's most horrific mass shootings. There have been marches and protests, Super Bowl advertisements, emotional and contentious congressional and state hearings and a new, tough gun-control law. This year alone there has been over 11,000 deaths related to gun violence. Along with those deaths there has been a combined 20,000 injuries.
American’s political landscape has been dominated by two major political parties that immensely differ in a number of key issues that affect every aspect of American life. This divide between the Democrat and Republican party could not be more pronounced than now during the presidential debate with each candidate taking a strong and clear stance on some major issues such as healthcare, immigration, and gun control. The Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton advocates for a more progressive and socialist agenda. She believes that the government should ensure all citizens are taken care of by providing access to affordable healthcare to everyone.
This is not the only side of the argument, though, there are opposers to enforcing gun laws that believe that there are already enough laws for buying guns and what you can do with them. The opposers also believe that we should focus more of our efforts on the mental health of the people instead of the guns they use. The debate on gun control is a very pressing matter. Some believe that the laws on gun control should be stricter, while others believe the laws should be looser for self-defense and hunting. Of course, homicides and accessibility of guns are not the only topics the public focuses on.
The number of incidents of gun violence last year in the United States was about 60,000. In recent years, the number of mass shooting has risen to about one mass shooting per day in the United States. The country is divided with some wanting to reevaluate our gun control laws and either ban or add additional regulations to the purchase of guns. Others say it is our right for Americans to own guns and something the founding fathers considered important to put in the Bill of Rights. The number of firearm sales has risen with the number of mass shooting many Americans question if banning guns or certain guns could help decrease the number of gun violence deaths.
Gun Control Gun control has become a polarizing and controversial issue around the globe. There have been many reported issues of mass shootings both in schools and in the public, making it a hot button issue. Proponents argue that, if the government strictly controls the ownership of guns, such tragedies can be prevented. Most Americans have an obsession with guns because the law allows them to do so. Therefore, they are always ready to scoff at anyone trying to control gun ownership.
