USNA Essay I never really considered attending the Naval Academy until a Navy coach contacted me. I initially dismissed the email, but then my dad talked to me about the academic excellence and character development of the Academy, so I looked into it. After graduation I want to be in the National Guard and do tattoos on the side. National Guard will be my main job because it pay more and I will only work two day out the month. And I want to do tattoos because I love to draw a lot. I feel that I will be job at both. Tattoos will just be fun and bring little money in.
The first reason for why I want to be in National Junior Honor Society is because it just seems like it is exciting . You know helping the community and doing event that I don’t think that I would do or just ever go on my spare time . Plus it is also a chance to meet new people and make more friends . The second reasons is because in the message it states “Membership is prestigious, and only the brightest and most studious get to apply.” So this makes me think this is important and not everyone can just enter and apply .This was also given to a handful amount of people .
It has been been a goal of mine to attend the United States Naval Academy after visiting Annapolis with my grandparents in 2012. Since visiting the Naval Academy I knew that I wanted to serve America with the utmost honor and integrity. The Naval Academy Summer Seminar would give me the ability to hone my leadership skills and give me valuable experience that I could use as a Navy Midshipman and throughout life. This summer experience is an opportunity of a lifetime because it will allow me to understand and benefit from the mental and physical challenges the academy provides. Applying to the A.P program at St.Joseph is something I am interested in because I want to challenge myself and to become a better problem solver. I want to be part of the AP program because I find the pace at my current school slow and I don't feel like I'm being challenged often. Also, by joining the AP program I can prepare myself for university and earn credits. Furthermore, the AP program can help me develop healthy study habits for a university which can prepare me for university.
Area FFA Officer Essay There are several reasons why I want to be an Area 15 FFA officer. The principal reason that I want to be an officer is for the learning experience that it will provide. Along with learning various new objectives, being an area officer will help me develop and better some of the leadership skills that I already have. Not only would being an area officer provide personal benefit, I could use the skills and knowledge that I gain to help benefit my chapter. Being an Area 15 FFA officer will teach me several new things about the FFA and leadership skills that I don’t know already.
Finally, I believe that I can make a positive contribution to the Honors College program. I hold myself to high academic standards and am committed to working hard to achieve my goals. I enjoy collaborating with fellow students and professors and approach challenges with a positive attitude and drive to succeed. I decided to go back to get my master’s degree and take the generalist track because I am not sure what I want to do further on in my career, but I decided that it was a good time to go back to school. I believe that the immediate challenge that I face in the master’s degree program is time management. I had been out of school for a little over a year and I had to get used to doing homework and managing my time better. After a couple of weeks in the program time management became easier, I found that it was helpful to use a calendar and make to do lists. I am currently working in an emergency room, which I absolutely love.
To be honest, college holds no interest to me. I was very satisfied with the construction job I held over the summer, and would be inclined to get a similar job at a later time. I had always wanted to join the military, and was going back and forth between the Army and the Marines. Eventually, after deciding what I want out of my service and of myself, I decided to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps.
When I was 14, I saw my remarkable cousin walk across the stage to receive her award for all her years of dedication to be inducted into National Honor Society. She encompassed all the requirements for entrance into the National Honor Society and ever since then, I have had my mindset on following in her footsteps and stepping even farther to conquer the indefinite. As I opened the letter to be invited to apply for membership, I could not even remember the last time my eyes and smile sprouted that immense because to me, being nominated to be a member of the National Honor Society is an honor in itself. I would be thrilled to join such a society because of the limitless opportunities it would present to me. Joining NHS would allow me to grow as a person and do as much as I can for others.
The reasons why I am attending college Personally, I decided to go to the college because my parents always taught me that a higher-education could offer me a better life. I attended an extraordinary high school in Italy but I wanted to continue my education here in Miami. I am attending college because I will get an excellent job and most like it make more money when I graduate, I will build more knowledge and skills and finally I will have the college experience and make more friends.
Attending college wasn’t an obligation of mine but a choice that I took. My reasons are probably just like everyone else’s at my age. I wanted a better life for myself in the future that didn’t involve living paycheck by paycheck. Obtaining a college degree has such a strong influence on one’s life. College has been a dream of mine since I was little.
Throughout my childhood and adolescent years, I always had a dream of joining the military. Though it was a choice, I still did not have any inside information of what it would be like, and the requirements and specifics of the Army. It wasn't until 2005 when I decided to join the United States Army that all my concerns and questions were answered by a recruit; and I was guided through the whole process to enter and prep for the Army. If it was not for the confidences and motivation of my recruiter back in 2005, I might have not made my leap and probably would not be in this uniform today. Becoming a member of the United States Army recruiting team means having a physical and mental toughness in order to perform efficiently.
A college education is very important for me to obtain the career I want. College will provide me the knowledge and practice I need to be successful. Going to college will help me get accustomed to the pressure of the real world and will give me the opportunity to become independent. Graduating college is my number one goal in life. It would be an awarding payoff for all the hard work and dedication to my studies throughout high school.
