Everyone may be talking about how hard the AP exam is, and how much you have to prepare for it, but it wasn't that difficult. As long as you don't stress out about the little things, you will do fine in AP
Perseverance is one word to describe how I have accomplished and succeeded in every goal I have committed myself to. Having the opportunity to apply for the National Honors Society is one goal I have so far accomplished this year. This not only demonstrates my hard work in different areas, including academics and clubs, but also my passion for helping others and my community. I think my experience with leadership and volunteer work will not only help me flourish, but also help my peers to flourish outside and inside the Society. Leadership is one of the pillars that the National Honors Society is built upon.
I am applying at Archbishop Mitty High School because ¬it has a history of high academic excellence coupled with a competitive sports program. Mitty has an excellent reputation from what I hear and their sports teams are well regarded. I have gone to their sports camps so I have a good experience and a good glimpse of how Mitty and their sports teams will be like. I am currently aspiring to be on the Basketball team and I am going through different coaching camps to be a better basketball player.
As an APA student representative, some of the major events I have promoted and volunteered at included the APA NSW/ACT job show. This job show has been successfully organised these few years as evident through the positive feedback received from my Physiotherapy cohort. Some students even noted that they were offered potential job opportunities at private practices and aged care facilities through networking with potential employers at the job show. Other events I promoted included student-volunteering experiences at the Stadium Stomp Sydney Morning Herald Marathon, Oxfam Trailwalker and City2surf. As a result of promoting these events, my Physiotherapy year group was enriched with practical experiences in the sporting environment.
I would be privileged to become part of the family at Acadia University. All the academic challenges that I may face, I am willing to overcome. I am academically fit to go to Arcadia because I currently have a GPA of 4.27, which exceeds the average GPA of most freshmen enrolled. My PSAT scores from 2014 projected my SAT scores to be around 1400. Arcadia looks at various types of SAT scores and has no specific score to be eligible to attend.
Moreover, I have worked very hard throughout high school to better myself and those around me in the many ways mentioned above. I also serve as a role model, both inside the classroom and out, by pushing myself to accomplish goals even I do not always believe I could, always respecting others and listening attentively to the opinions of people around me, and making an effort to enrich the lives of others. I am hopeful the National Honor Society will help me develop this further, and thank you for taking hte time to read my application.
There are many reasons why I would like to attend the Air Force Academy. I have researched the academy and found it to be not only one of the top colleges in the nation but an institution that produces great leaders. Being that I will be the first member of my family to attend college, I wanted to ensure that the college I attend is more of life long journey than a stop along the way. All of the Academy Night Event’s I have attended have taught me that the Air Force is something you belong to for the rest of your life and that is what I am looking for.
Most of my surroundings were filled with people who are academically determined and I was immediately drawn to joining the outstanding group of students who represent the National Honor Society when I first heard about it. Knowing that I met the requirements to be put in this prestigious program thrills me. I think that over the course of my life, I have developed the qualities of leadership, scholarship, service, and character that make up the core values of the National Honor Society. I am a standout candidate for the National Honor Society due to the qualities I possess. I was already seen as a leader when I started high school because of cheer.
I believe that I can become a member of the National Junior Honor Society, because of the character I have as a person. Optimism is one of my strongest features, because if a fellow
In the 1950’s the intentions of AP classes were to benefit students. These rigorous classes were meant to give student’s college level work and exams to better prepare them. While also gaining college credits to save money. However, over the course of time the purpose of AP classes have changed and failed. In particular, many colleges do not accept AP courses as college credit and students are required to repeat the course at college, an honors class is seen as more useful in the long run, students do not get credit for the class if they do not pass the exam, some state that the work is not like college work at all, and it causes students to be stressed.
My strengths, to begin, are words in context and writing and language. In contrast, command of evidence and standard english conventions are my weaknesses. I will improve my PSAT score by working on my understanding of complex text, improve my drafting and revising, and improved understanding of radical numbers. I'm going to do this so that I can get to my goal easier.
The educational opportunities that I've taken advantage of is enrolling into AP classes and taken college classes. Also I learned learn important skills for college such as how to write short answer response questions, and how to write a proper Document based questions(DBQ).

I always put in the continuous effort in my studies, making sure that I not only complete the homework, but that I understand the curriculum. Resiliency is the trait that distinguishes me and best reflects my journey so far. When faced with an unfamiliar tragedy, I was and still continue to find hope, focus, and persevere in everything I do. Acceptance into the University of the Pacific will allow me the opportunity to greatly expand my knowledge and grow into the mature and professional person that I have always known that I can
Strengths: As a student one of my strengths is organization. I can say I can keep my school materials and notebooks organized in a way that I and others can comprehend. The reason I can say I am organized is because, I have hardly ever had in the past or present any issues with trying to find homework or assignments because I always kept my materials for each class organized and in a place I could easily find. Another strength I have is social skills. I can believe that I communicate with others well in a group.
