I implemented Special Olympics activities and recreations for community events. In addition, I collaborated with school personnel and outside agencies to engage students in sports activities. These activities included track and field, bowling, appropriate social interaction with peers, adults, and school staff etc. I planned field trips for students in the surround communities and interfaced with communities’ organizers and school personnel to engage students in the events such as the Dixie Classic Fair, Santa Christmas Workshop, and going to the local museums etc.
Applying to the A.P program at St.Joseph is something I am interested in because I want to challenge myself and to become a better problem solver. I want to be part of the AP program because I find the pace at my current school slow and I don't feel like I'm being challenged often. Also, by joining the AP program I can prepare myself for university and earn credits. Furthermore, the AP program can help me develop healthy study habits for a university which can prepare me for university.
Description On the 10th of April 2017 at 10am I, a first year Occupational Therapy student interviewed a participant about her favourite leisure activity which was touch rugby in a semi-formal setting for 10 minutes which took place at City College.
