I have found myself to be rooted deep down with my christian ministry group Chi Alpha. We are a group of students that seeks to make relationships within our religion of christianity in order to form a loving community for myself and many others to be a part of. Recently, I have found myself to be useful when it comes to running the soundboard at our worship and collaboration nights where I come in early in order to set up chords and mix the worship band as they practice. This has been an excellent experience as I have been able to keep up my love for music as the same time of attending university. My active participation to this after class activity has developed who I am as a person.
I love meeting new people who share the same interests and passions as I do. It’s hard to explain just how much this program means to me. When I am older I hope to run for Kentucky State 4-H Teen Council President, and can contribute back to this amazing
The House I Live In is a documentary that was published in October 5, 2012 by the Director, Eugene Jarecki. It’s based upon what’s it’s like to live in the streets so called the hood town where the drugs are mostly being distributed. And how it would affect family lives by dealing under bad influence.
By being a part of the organizations listed above, I encounter many opportunities of community service and volunteer work that contribute to enhancing CSU and its community. Being a member of The Competitive Premedical Program, we are given the opportunity to volunteer
The activities and events we host are always very fun and exciting. I have been a volunteer since my freshman year of high school, which is when they allow you to be a volunteer. Before that you may participate in the activities. I feel that this volunteer project does benefit both me and the recipients, because I get to experience such an amazing act of kindness that changes a person 's life forever. It also benefits the recipients, because they get to have their lives changed forever.
In the student council at my high school, I have helped accomplish countless tasks and school wide projects. Of course these were done with a lot of help but I worked hard to lead my team to achieve our goals. I have been in student
I am a criminal justice major here at SUU. I am a responsible, honest, and hardworking student and continue to maintain these characteristics. I wish to strive for a 4.0 GPA while maintaining my maturity and character. This housing will provide an environment in which I can achieve this goal and others with the highest efficiency. While focusing on my studies, I will be able to sustain a level of independence.
Here on campus at the University of Alabama I am member of the sorority Delta Zeta where we have our chapter meetings every Monday night from 6:30-7:30pm. I feel that being apart of Delta Zeta has helped me contribute the most to our campus because of how involved I have become through it. For example, I participated in a program called RISE last semester where I would meet with a group of my sisters every Wednesday from 7-8pm and each week we would discuss things like service and how we can give back to our community. At the end of the program we did a service project with a nursing home here in Tuscaloosa and painted with the residence, as well as played bingo with them. This is just one of the many examples of how Delta Zeta has helped

I am an active member in our community. I volunteer every month, at least once a month. One of the organizations that I volunteer at is Spoonful of Hope. This organization dedicated to feeding those who were, and still are feeling the effects of hurricane Sandy. They also give food to those who are hungry and in need of a decent meal in our community.
I didn’t know any of the eighth grade ASB council members, in fact, I was intimidated by them. However, after attending more meetings and getting to know the council members, I was fascinated by what they do. It was at that moment I realized that I enjoyed being involved. I loved the feeling of knowing what was going on in our school, especially knowing before my other classmates. I liked reporting back to the class and announcing the upcoming activities and most importantly, I enjoyed being able to help out and contribute back to my school.
It is in my best interest to give my patients the best care and make them feel satisfied. I am also in a career oriented organization called SkillsUSA, where students can volunteer in several events to provide community service and leadership skills. One of my favorite clubs would be Student to Student. As an officer, I
My community placement is at Brampton Caledon Community Living. The community is mostly for adults and people with intellectual and physical disabilities. It works to support and empower all people in the area and it works alongside the community and families in the community. Most of the people that attend the program are adults that live with either their parent(s) or a family member (low income) in Bolton. To help reach out to and accommodate to families with lower income, the center charges a small fee for the adult to attend.
I am a 4th year Geography major at the University of Victoria specializing in the Urban, Health and Development studies. I believe affordable housing is a critical asset for happy and healthy living and that it should be available for all. I’ve been going to school in Victoria for the past 3 years and every time I’ve returned from the Summer, rising competition and prices has become more challenging to cope with. From my personal experience and listening to friends, family and news reports, I’m interested in what types of initiatives are being used to challenge Victoria’s housing crisis and how our group can help to mobilize change.
From contesting for this position to getting elected and working for betterment of my house group, I gained a lot of experience and self-confidence and became more responsible. Being a vice captain, I played an important role in addressing and motivating students, advising and helping them, and earning points for my group by participating in many competitions alone or in a team. I also served as the student voice of the school to a variety of external and internal constituents. The student council served as a bridge between the students and the school heads and administration.
