MA's are very similar to LPN. They do the same work only that an LPN can do more of the clinical procedure, while under the supervision of an RN. Also, LPN makes more money than an MA. Even though it's not necessary for a medical assistant to get certified they have 4 exams to choose from they can take one or take all of them for a certification.
