College, is it worth it? Going to college is worth it because you will have better chance of getting a job. In life you want to have things and better your life so you will need to get a good job.

You can do a lot without a college degree, but it does help you build experience and for some jobs a college degree is required. One of the biggest reasons college degrees is worth it is due to the amount of jobs offered to people without a college degree is greatly decreasing. Everyday there are less and less jobs for high school graduates without college degrees.
I wish to attend college to further enhance my education, to be a first generation college student, and to become a better version of myself. First, I wish to enhance and further my education. Knowledge is the key to success and those keys can unlock doors never before seen. A high school diploma is great but it is not enough for me or any huge company.
College. There are many different opinions on college, if it is really worth it or not. In my opinion, I believe that people should go to college because people that go to college and graduate have a lower unemployment rate than others who did not, college graduates get paid more, and college is a good investment of money. Growing up in rural Texas, I was the oldest of five and seen as the head of my family while my parents were working hard to pay the bills. Having that type of responsibility made me feel good as the leader of all my siblings, but in a lot of ways it was one of the main reasons I decided not to further my education after high school, considering I was helping to make sure all my other siblings also made it through school. Although I put off college for a long while, I have been inspired to attend Strayer to obtain and dissect my professor’s knowledge, discover any hidden skills, and elevate in the business world, ultimately changing a huge part of my life. Starting a family with my fiancé, to me begins with having a secure Financial understanding. Being the supervisor at FedEx along with my Boss, I feel I make a decent amount of money to support my fiancé and my step children, but when I think of all the opportunities that come along with owning a business, I know for sure that I will increase my income.
Doing what I love and being able to support myself and loved ones is important to me. I am a very independent person and I like to do things my way. I like to set individual goals everyday, whether that means doing my homework before a certain time, or completing something for the week. They help me get my work done on time and efficiently.
As long as I can remember, I knew that college was going to be part of my future. That is because I always knew what my family expected out of me. College is not only important to me for the reason of making my parents proud, but for making sure that I create more out of myself, as well. With a higher education, I will have more job opportunities available, potentially be able to earn higher income, and obtain more useful life skills than somebody who does not have a college education. To begin, having a college education under my belt is important to me because I will have more opportunities for a job, after I complete my four years.

I plan on attending Purdue NorthWest majoring in engineering and minoring in business. This is my number one future goal that I need to accomplish because to be able to have a nice life, I need to go to college to support my future family. My next future goal would be get a starting job to be able to support my future family.
