Early years is recognised as an important time for children. They are growing and developing both minds and bodies. We are building a basis for their futures, providing children with adequate nutritional foods, is extremely important. A balanced and nutritional diet is also an important priority for the government, as well as pre-schools and schools. All children need to be giving a nutritional diet in order to function properly. By giving children this as well as plenty of water, they will have more energy to be able to fight infections, concentrate, better alertness and general behaviour patterns. If nutritional requirements are not met, children can lose up to 10% of their IQ. “Undernourished children achieve at least a grade less in school”
