Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, today I will be presenting why Edward Anderson is mentally ill and needs to be placed in a mental hospital. We discovered that Edward Anderson went inside Xavier Vanderbilt’s room at midnight for eight nights straight. One night when Edward saw Xavier’s eye, he decided to kill him at that moment. The crime scene occurred on 13130 Morrison St. Moreno Valley CA 92555. The crime took place on December 9, 1852, at 1:12 a.m. I will be showing you pieces of evidence that prove that Edward is insane, and needs psychiatric treatment. In the text, he said, “But anything was better than this agony!” What he means was that the beating of Xavier’s heart had gotten to his head and he reached the point that he could not handle the noise. Thus, showing that he is insane because he hears something that is not there. Additionally, Edward said that he heard Xavier’s heartbeat after he killed him. As stated in Edward’s confession, “I admit the deed! --tear up the planks! Here here! --It is the beating of his hideous heart!” Sane people cannot hear someone’s heartbeat after one’s death. This piece of evidence proves that he is insane since he had already killed the old man, yet, he claims to hear the old man’s heart. To finish off, all these pieces of evidence show that Edward Anderson is mentally ill. The action that should be taken is to place Edward Anderson in a mental hospital. Edward Anderson said he heard Xavier’s heartbeat after he killed him which proves that he is insane. He also said he heard things in heaven and hell which is impossible. This is why Edward Anderson should not be charged with 1st-degree murderer and needs psychiatric treatment in a mental
