Banned book research paper
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban written by J.K. Rowling was published on July 8, 1999. There have been many controversies with the book and if they she was trying to get kids into witch craft. The book was mostly banned at Christian or other religious schools due to the use of magic in the book. Some parents did not agree with the schools banning the books, they were saying that it's their choice for what their kids read and not the school districts.
The main plot of the story is that its Harrys third year at Hogwarts and things are already starting out bad when he gets attacked by a dementor on the train to Hogwarts. HE also learns that a killer named Sirius black is out to kill him but he later finds out its his uncle just trying to help. Ron and Hermione get into a feud because their pets are having altercations. There's a new teacher named Professor Remus Lupin and he was teaching harry new magic and helping him through troubles.

Magic/witchcraft is against the religion of Christianity. The main protagonist and his two friends usually get into a lot of trouble for the greater good and that could influence some readers to cause mischief.
Most parents were not happy when they found out that the mischievous ways of Harry Potter were influencing their children with non-Christian ways. Younger readers could easily become influenced by these books and might want to try magic/witchcraft, I know I was easily influenced by stuff as a kid.
Parents are able to choose what their kids read they know the child way better than the teacher. Parents make sure their children aren't exposed to anything they don’t want them to be. It's all up to their own religious beliefs and thoughts on the subject the parent knows what's
