Chino Hills High ASB is a well-recognized organization not only by students and staff at CHHS, but by programs like the California Association of Student Leaders. A select group of students from Chino Hills High ASB attended a conference put on by CASL, and for the past 11 years Chino Hills High ASB has won the Outstanding Leadership Program Award. The group of students who accepted this award on behalf of the CHHS Leadership program were Caleb Andrews, Bradley Mautz, Adam Cullen, Tessa Grotz, Mitchell Matthews, Josh Stroup, Alex Ro, Tanner Schroder, Audrey Johnstone, and Gullian Dyker. At the conference this year, Adam Cullen, the ASB President for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year, was elected to be on the board for the California Association of Student Leaders as a Southern Director.
This interesting school year has just begun. Students have been looking so happy. Here's why. First, This school year has a twist.
It seems as if the entire town is invited to fill the gym in order to reminisce about the past successes of Permian football and welcome in the new team. Current and new players are introduced one by one, their name and position called followed by the roar of probably more than 1,000 fans, all of whom are wondering which players will provide the winning combination for this year’s season. The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
While we have grown together as a pledge class, we have learned that although the pledge process requires commitment and a lot of extra time, it has built us significantly. Our time-management skills have improved as a necessity in the context of our own maturity. Through these moments I am proud to justify that we will soon be members of an organization larger than us. This bestowal placed upon us is an outstanding privilege we shall not take for granted and celebrate respectfully. I am honored to say you have all changed me for the better.

Throughout that summer members faced acts of violence and even murder, but through the advisory there was a fire that could not be extinguished. Activists learned that death and pain may happen along the way but the outcome and mission were more important than themselves to give up. By continuing on the empowered and inspired others. Without that the change would never had happen. Through the obstacles the project faced it found strength and identity.
Week after week, I continued to grin and bare it until finally, I reached my last week. As I finally sat down at my last meeting of my last day, I listened to our boss talk about all the positive feedback the camp was getting from both parents and campers. The majority of the girls who came had had the time of their lives. In the end, that was just what made all our suffering worthwhile. I sat and looked around at all the familiar faces I had come to know so well in so little time.
National Junior Honors Society Essay By: Megan Pacchioli I am very excited by the opportunity to represent my school as a member of the National Junior Honors Society. Both in and out of school I support the Five Pillars of the NJHS, which are scholarship, service, citizenship, character, and leadership. I represent these five pillars by my grades and academic achievements in school, my dedication to my church, my dojo, and my soccer team. Theodore Roosevelt once said "Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground”. Roosevelt knew that in order to get somewhere you had to look forward and aspire for greatness in whatever you do but also be level-headed and know your limitations. To me, this quote means that you have to think and plan for greatness but realize that the journey to get to where you’re going may be longer than you realize and that you may encounter challenges but should always keep your eye on what you want. The quote is Roosevelt saying to look to the future and have a vision for what you want but also to keep yourself grounded and be realistic in your approach to how you want to go about accomplishing it.
