Some people think that taking Physical Education (PE) online is strange, pointless, or impossible. However, I disagree. In a physical classroom setting, kids mostly focus on the activities that they are doing rather than on the life lessons that they are learning for their health. I personally have learned much valuable information from taking PE online that I may not have paid so much attention to in a physical class. Taking this class has taught me to change my current lifestyle, has given me tools for future improvement, and has changed my overall health and nutrition.
To begin with, throughout this class I have been implementing changes in my routines. Now that I know how important exercise is, I have been adding in exercise to my daily routine through a morning walk with my dog, an evening bike ride, and stretches throughout the day. The morning walk with my dog not only prevents unwanted behaviors from him (such as barking), but it also really wakes me up in the morning and allows me to focus on my schoolwork. Stretching throughout the day prevents me from having posture and muscular issues from working on the computer all the time. One healthy habit that I have learned in this course that I must keep up for a healthy future is the importance of cardiorespiratory fitness. I already perform a number of aerobic activities, so I just need to hold on to these habits to ensure a healthier future. This class also taught me about the various nutritional needs of the individual age groups, and of how important nutrition is in my life, both for the present and the future. As long as I continue to do physical activities that increase future fitness and make sure that I have the correct nutrients for my age group then I will carry the good fitness habits that I have developed in this class throughout my
