The Crucible is a play that takes place in Boston massachusetts it is about a little town being cursed by supposed witches some of the main characters include a fourteen year old named Abigail, John Proctor, Hale and, Parris. What makes a good story? There are many things that make up a good one, this involves having many different types of themes. The crucible is essentially about having courage, weakness, and truth. The character that represents having courage is John Proctor, John Proctor is the main character throughout the story. He represents courage because he is trying to help out his wife from being accused of witchcraft so he tries to defend her and works. While he is trying to defend her he gets in a situation where they end up accusing him of witchcraft and is supposed to sign a paper confessing to witchcraft which is a lying so he will be lying to the the court and can be charged for that so he decides not to give them the paper a rip it apart by doing this he makes himself get charges for not confessing and eventually gets hung so that is what makes him courageous. …show more content…
